Overview of the Review Meeting
On May 13, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held a review meeting. They discussed the progress of housing and welfare programs under the Panchayat and Agriculture Department in Chhattisgarh.
Housing Success Under PM Modi’s Leadership
During a joint press conference, Minister Chouhan highlighted key achievements. Under PM Modi’s leadership, over 8 lakh houses have been allocated to eligible beneficiaries in the state. He emphasized that, unlike previous government efforts where many houses were left half-constructed, the current government has successfully completed these projects.
A new survey is now underway to assess the need for additional housing projects in the state.
The Success of the Samadhan Shivir Initiative
One of the major successes discussed was the Samadhan Shivir initiative. This program resolved 85% of public grievances in Bastar district. The initiative took place in 13-14 Gram Panchayats in Jagdalpur, addressing more than 4,000 applications, most of which were related to the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The government’s efforts in this initiative highlight their focus on providing solutions for public issues and improving service delivery.
Chief Minister’s Commitment to Citizens
Earlier, on May 6, CM Vishnu Deo Sai visited Kawardha town in Kabirdham district to review the Samadhan camps. He interacted with citizens to ensure government schemes are reaching the people effectively. His efforts aim to ensure that the benefits of government initiatives are properly delivered to the intended beneficiaries.
These ongoing efforts by the Union and State governments are dedicated to improving public welfare and addressing citizens’ concerns efficiently.
