The incident follows a recent explosion of a crude bomb<\/strong> near a bar-cum-lounge owned by rapper Badshah<\/strong> in the city, which is located just 30 meters from the De’Orra club. Chaudhary\u2019s complaint alleged that Thakur was pressuring him for money and used threats to back up his demands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thakur, a resident of Sector 49 in Chandigarh, holds a 25% stake in the De’Orra club. He has a criminal record<\/strong> and has served time in jail in the past. He became notorious in 2018 following a shooting incident<\/strong> at a birthday party attended by Sahdev Salaria, an associate of former Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher<\/strong>. Authorities suspect that Thakur may be linked to criminal gangs<\/strong>, and this is being investigated further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police are also probing a potential connection between the explosion outside the De’Orra lounge and gangster<\/strong> links. CCTV footage revealed that an unidentified suspect threw a bomb at the lounge, causing a small explosion. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. The blast damaged the club’s glass windows but resulted in no injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police also discovered a phone call allegedly made by Kali<\/strong>, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang<\/strong>, to a club partner shortly before the blast. The significance of this call is part of the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
